Rachel B. Godley

Experienced Family Law Attorney & Legal Document Specialist

Originally from Bourg, Louisiana, Rachel has been practicing law in Acadiana for more than 16 years.  She received her undergraduate degree in business management from LSU in 2002 and graduated from LSU’s Law Center in 2007. During law school, Rachel was a member of the Moot Court Board, the Trial Advocacy Board, and an inter-school trial competition team. She then practiced with a general practice law firm in Lafayette, Louisiana for six years in the areas of family law, defense litigation, plaintiff personal injury litigation, and commercial law.

Rachel has extensive experience in handling all aspects of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, community property, filiation actions, disavowal actions, and protective orders. With her experience and dedication to clients, Rachel is highly effective in managing a vast array of family law disputes.

She is a member of the American Inn of Court of Acadiana and the Family Law Section of the Lafayette Bar Association.  As a prior active member of the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association, Rachel organized several successful community outreach events in Acadiana such as Wills for Heroes and Advice, Attorneys, Answers.

Rachel and her husband, Andrew, live in Youngsville and have two children.
